Presentation of a demonstrator : the University of Applied Sciences of Berlin (Technische Fachhochschule Berlin) has developed an application that allows testing the authentication and electronic signature of documents (loading and downloading to a server) using the German, French and Dutch health professionals’ cards.

Presentation of the working group of the European Committee for Standardization - CEN TC 251 WG III - which is gathering information on health professionals' smart cards through Europe

Presentation of the HPRO Card project and exchanges on the possible link with the project Smart Open Services (SOS) : The SOS project has the objective to test through « large scale pilots » the interoperability issues in the exchange for a medical summary and an electronic prescription between 12 member states.

Presentation of the smart cards systems in Germany and France : to make a status update of the situation in these two countries.

Ljubljana (Slovenia) – February 7, 2008

Objectives of the working group (interoperability items) : Based on a presentation of scenarii for the production and use of the European health professional card (reminder of the Bratislava presentation) as well as a presentation of interoperability items, a discussion ensued on how the group should operate.

 

Brussels (Belgium) – October 18, 2007

Debriefing of the event at the European parliament : The group has shared his satisfaction about the success of this event founder for the project.

Presentation of the response to the call for proposals of the European Commission (VP/2007/014, DG Empl) : Some elements on the EU context were first explained : i.e. the three institutions – European Parliament, Council and Commission – their respective roles and their management regarding health and new technologies projects. Then, the HPRO Card project was presented in its main aspects (objectives, partners, expected results, links with EU objectives).
